▼ Welcome to another Strings update!
It may still be April 1st (for the next 5 minutes), but this update is no joke! Due to the information involved, the post will be broken into two parts, with tomorrow focusing on the city itself and open logs, this one with future events and signups.
If you haven't checked out the
CALENDAR please do so now so that the following will make more sense for you!
First of all, once the closed Mictlan log is over, the
dungeon will be open to all for exploring! This time with monster lists and maps, so you will be able to go down there, visualize what it is like and explore in your own logs to your heart's content. There will be a document given out, but for now since the log is still fresh, we're waiting before sharing it with everyone (not to mention it will be changed, depending on what the characters will do).
This being said, we once again encourage you to suggest to us player plots, be it in your character's own universe or something they'd like to do in the city. You can find the form
RIGHT HERE! ▼ Persona Generators are updated
Finally after many hours of tears, issues with hosting, sweat and recoding the entire thing from the ground up to make it easier in the long run, the personas generators are all 100% online!
LVL 1 | LVL 2 | LVL 3 | LVL MaxMAJOR DIFFERENCES:- An easier to understand menu with color coding. Anything in a darker green is a new spell for that group that wasn't there before, anything in yellow means the previous restriction was lifted (so a spell that required a healing skill but now doesn't would be yellow).
-
Combat users have much more attacking spells, but healing skills climb slower than passive users. Additionally, their skills are upgraded based on 4 tiers of levels (spells 1-2, 3-4,5-6,7-8) instead of just two like before (it also fits better the strange level issues we had before like a small healing spell that shows up the same time for one person or all users). Many, many new spells that deal additional damage, and status affects.
-
Passive/Support users now have even more unique skills to choose from, giving them a much bigger grasp on being support, especially when it comes to the higher levels. They have more powerful healing spells compared to combat users and finally, we've added the lowest nuclear skill for them to use (before they didn't have any, we're sorry!)
- The Almighty spells that were not direct attacks have been giving more power for both groups. Foul Breath increases all status attacks by 30% for yourself, for example, so it can really make certain battles interesting.
If you notice any mistakes in wording, or skills, just tell us so we can fix it as soon as possible! As a note, the basic lists now need to be updated to fit with these new skills, so for now consider these generators the ones with the right information.
▼ MONTHLY EVENT INFORMATION
APRIL 1ST: DOLPHIN TAKEOVERThere's a post about this
RIGHT HERE! Dolphins have been trolling the city for this day and claimed April 1st as Dolphin Day! You can make your own computer posts of them wrecking havoc; what they do to your character is entirely up to you.
APRIL 15TH: ARAMID ROOM VISITThis time there will be a log for the other room found in this game. Again, you will be allowed to thread out requests if you like. This pair is a little different than the Velvet Residents, mind you. After all, this is Nyarlathotep's territory.
APRIL 18TH-20TH: ARIES BATTLEOne thing to note is that the battle against the Aries monster will be
brutal. There will be a lot of collateral damage, although limited to the area the creature itself is in.
Signups will close on
APRIL 7th for log preparations. There will be backup characters if there are enough signups in case someone has an unforeseen issue.
APRIL 23RDThis will be a post regarding next month's rescue event.
▼ THE ARIES BATTLE
More information will be given to prepare, but what you need to know for now is that this battle may leave a few people in the hospital.
There is a risk of serious physical and mental damage while fighting this boss. The signups will be limited to 3 (perhaps 4 depending on total submissions) characters. Players will be
required to have either AIM or SKYPE and have free time during the 18th-20th for AIM/Skype sessions, exact times to be determined, as we will be doing this semi-rapid fire style.
As always, whoever gets picked will be done via Random Number Generator.
SIGN UP HERE! ▼ Rescue plot voting and information
May is when we will get our next rescue, on the
16th-19th IC-wise.
However as the rescue is influenced by
YOU, who gets rescued and where they are found will be completely picked by you! The voting will end on the
30th of April so that's an entire month to vote on things! Each one come with benefits:

RESCUE RISKS: High (Hard Rescue)
REIKO AKANEZAWA & IDEO HAZAMA (Shin Megami Tensei: if...)

THIS LINK to take you to the post where you can suggest places you think the characters could go for the rescue. Keep in mind that we may not know all the fandoms, and we'll use it to help us with ideas about the rescue itself. Who knows, your idea might get picked out. Suggest as many places as you want, and suggest where as well (so let's say you want Star Wars during Old Republic but having it be an aerial battle.)
Suggest to your heart's content and let's have more fun together, Destiny Strings!
