Destiny Strings OOC Community Puppets on Strings

 

Hello everyone! We have a lot of news and updates, so we'd like your undivided attention for this one.

 

Thank you all so much for stopping by for the 4th wall event! There's two more posts to look forward to, but I'd like to thank everyone who joined us in Geartopia. Remember, you can make posts until the 26th of October backdated to the event. Please continue to enjoy and mingle and have fun as much as you want; we're very happy to have you!

Our application forms have been updated!

▶ You do not have to list every single one of your character's powers anymore and you don't have to group them into elements. Just give us a general idea of what they entail! If we require you to do this during a log, we'll just tell you then!
▶ The 'AU personality change' section was removed from the AU application form since it was redundant with other parts of the application.
▶ You do not need to create your Persona before joining if you're having trouble. You can finish it after you are accepted, and we'll give you some help.
▶ Writing samples have to be taken from 2011 and upwards, instead of 2010 as it was previously.

This should make applications much easier for everyone in the long run and make applying to Strings a lot less stressful and confusing.

 

Activity checks how have a set date: The 1st Friday of the months of November, January, March, May, July and September.

▶ Activity checks will run from the 1st Friday of those months until the next Friday night at 9pm EST. Afterwards, the warning list will be posted. Characters will have until Sunday 9PM EST to post before being removed from the game.
▶ Same activity rules as before: 1 post by your character means all other characters can submit 10 comment threads OR 15 comment threads for everyone if you didn't post any log/network post during those months.
▶ We're changing second chances slightly: if you request a second chance, you'll need to show us sufficient activity within the next month. We'll follow up with you privately at the end of a month if you need one.
▶ Since Hiatus only lasts a month (unless you have special mod permission), you'll still need to fill out half of the required activity.

 

It is with great pleasure that I'd like to announce that both Brandon and Wighty have become full moderators of Strings!

Brandon was already helping a lot with the submission forms as an aid; however, both of them will be helping maintain the general flow of the game. Both Andy and Katie will still be around to help with the plot, but real life have hit them hard, and they are no longer able to help as much with the game as before. We've been making strides in getting the game faster and more active ergo -

This means I'm on the lookout for 1-2 more moderators to help me! Strings has a lot of NPC and plot and since Brandon would like to stay spoiler-free from the game as much as possible, I would like other moderators to join me in creating a better gaming experience for everyone, both with NPCs and general plot planning. You would have the entire game explained to you, or just partly if you want to be in the dark about certain things, and join us in our conversations regarding the game.

MOD DUTIES
▶ Know the entire plotline of Destiny Strings in full to aid us with the 'big picture'.
▶ Aid with game preparations and making network news posts.
▶ Having Plurk so we can all discuss plans together (AIM or Skype is also fine)
▶ A sense of humor, being able to act as the face of the game and being able to accept crit
▶ Willing to give some of your time for the game and willing to staying with us for the long run. String's plotline is expected to run for 3 years (perhaps 4 depending on the speed of certain events.)
▶ Aiding with game plots, helping NPC major characters

▶ A knowledge of the Shin Megami Series is NOT NECESSARY, but it may be a useful asset.
▶ In addition, you do not need previous mod experience either, we're looking for individuals who are interested in helping the game move forward and everyone needs a place to learn how to do that!

▶ Mod applications will close OCTOBER 26TH at 12:00 MIDNIGHT.
