June Plot plot plot plot plot plot! (Everybody!)
Welcome to the June Plotline! After taking into consideration the talk during the player discussion along with an effort to bring more action and danger right back into the game, we're pleased to announce this month's plot in full. For those who wish to do things a little more quietly, don't worry, there are also opportunities to stay back as well.
As you may or may not know, currently the Strings map is like this:
I don't care how old this meme is
During the next month it's all about action and exploration as characters set out to find out what exactly is behind the barrier!
June 1st-7th (Week 1)
Normal animals will seem tense during the week. Demons will be far quieter than usual - with very few attacks. The city will see this as a good sign that finally, they might be overcoming their problems, but a few people who sign up below will get strange dreams warning of what is to come this month and the ones to come...
June 8th
The day starts out with a literal bang, as something slams against the barrier right over City Hall, knocking half of the building to the ground. As the unknown object continues to 'roll' down until it lands somewhere outside of city bounds, buildings shake, fall and tear away. While the barrier still holds up, a very thin strand separating the world outside from Hinoto-Ri is visible above the Leo Ward. There are some deaths, yet it doesn't seem too bad considering the damage… at first.
Characters are invited to decide how much damage their apartments have sustained. Walls and windows are cracked, pipes might have broken and water could have spilled out anywhere. If they need to move in with someone else is entirely up to you! It's time for some new CR! Slumber parties anyone?
June 8th, Nightfall
But then, it gets worse! The effect seems to be much more terrible than first thought, as characters quickly realize that the 13th hour is not going away as usual… but lasts two hours instead of just one! Demons have more time to be out at full power and that means everything is going to get a lot more dangerous...
Very important note: This 2 hour effect will continue to last until the rest of the game.
June 9th-15th (Week 2)
The Mayor, along with the Office of Swords and the Chief of Police will request that all of the Visitors come to a meeting. After explaining that they need to find out what happened, it’s suggested that the answers are probably on the other side...
However, fully breaching the barrier is not currently possible as they need more of a special item to power up a teleporter that the MAGI has been developing; the Plumes of Dusk, which can only be found in the Mictlan while dungeon exploring. The unique item must be obtained in vast quantities so that the device will be powered up in full, and now with the 13th hour lasting an hour longer, there's more time to explore it! This means there will be an open Mictlan log that any player can go into alone or in groups and search the dungeon to find the items for the entire week. Mods will be posting as NPCS and Demons as they prowl down there, so it will be dangerous...
New Players!:
Meanwhile, any character that is apped into the game, including any characters that were in game before and are returning, will find themselves on the OTHER side of the barrier, and will need to be rescued. However during this week they will need to band together and fend for themselves in a strange new place (a map with information will go live once the 9th rolls around with the full information!)
Opt out!:
Players who do not wish to help with the Plumes of Dusk may instead help with rebuilding the city; they'll need all the help they can get!
June 16th - 23th (Week 3)
With the required power needed to use the device, the first group will be asked to take the other end of the teleporter with them as they are whisked off into parts unknown, and find themselves outside of the city as well. The teleportation burns a hole into the barrier in the process, but all the city can really see is the stars above…
Meanwhile, the exploration group will need to overcome demons and other creatures, as they establish contact with the newcomers, in order to warn the city that more Visitors are coming.
Players will be allowed to explore the new stretch of land to see if there are any mysteries to unravel...and creatures to encounter that might not like them very much.
New Players!:
Any character that is apped during this period will also end up on the other side of the barrier, but will thankfully have more aid than the group in week 1.
Opt out!:
Players who do not wish to visit outside of the barrier may instead continue a humanitarian effort in trying to help the populace. With the demons out more in force, more areas for protection against the 13th hour need to be set up. This is an opportunity to establish CR with others in the process.
June 24th - 30th (Week 4)
As the exploration of the other side continues, characters finally get some good news: the demon summoning add-on for their COMP system is completed! The additional manpower will allow them to travel with a much more solid backup in the upcoming months… but first they'll need to learn how to use it.
An open log will allow characters to search parts of the city and establish contact (recruiting) with various demons in hopes of having them join their causes and aiding them. All information regarding the contact and how it works will be explained in the log itself.
Certain demons will only work with arcana and levels, so depending on your character's current strength, different demons might offer their services to them!

Along with as many of his weapons as he can salvage from the debris.
Which may be a lot, because that seems funny to me.

Rather unlike Bobby, who will be one of those people helping with rebuilding the city and possibly finding new housing for those whose apartments have been ruined. He'd strongly encourage that Visitors work together and give each other a hand, along with helping the actual residents of the city. One for all and all for one!

Since...I am kind of the guy in charge of running the demons and all. Bad idea to just have me talking to myself - sends the wrong message and all.
