Une Justice Pour Tous!!
Turnabout in the Time Stream
With the activity check nearly over, it's time for you to all find out where we're going! And oh là là, we hope you'll enjoy this case that we're preparing for you.

Picture this: Paris, France, city of lights and entertainment! At the front and center, two twin brother illusionists Tic and Tac, presenting a show unlike any other in the world. The highly sought-after tickets for each show sell out in minutes, and at the grand finale; a teleportation trick involving the very Eiffel Tower that has left skeptics baffled and other magicians unable to figure out its well-guarded secret. With their lovely assistant, Cachou, who is a media darling herself and beloved by the french people, they are ready to take the rest of the world by storm...
...but when their assistant turns up dead during an ill-fated live show, knife in her back during the last day of the Paris farewell tour, the city cries 'c'est un meurtre!'. The brothers are locked for questioning along with the only figure that was close by when the accident happened...Minerva McGonagall?
With no defense attorney wanting to represent someone so currently hated, no powers to just bail her out, it's up to you to duke it out in court...and perhaps discover there's a lot more to the trick's secret...This is:

The nitty-gritty
The game is set in the Dual Destinies timeline and is happening a few weeks after the events of the game. However, since we're a continent away from the other plot, neither shall affect the other.
It will be useful for one advantage: Obviously France has a different Justice systemthat we're bullshitting as we go for RP purposes than Japanamerica whereupon even those who are studying law can take up cases, and a cabinet of defense can be formed. And joy of joys, it seems there's an international program where lawyers from other countries can do this in Paris as well. However they will require an actual registered member that they can look up...so it seems like some people (*cough cough* Athena and Apollo *cough*) may need to pretend they were visiting for this case.
I mean, it's not like anything can go wrong, right? Of course not.
The case will be divided into 3 days much like the games, and include a court and an investigation part. Teams of those who want to join will be set up and they'll get to meet up interesting people, gather evidence and let the defense team (hopefully) work their magic and save the day!
Each part isn't made to be very long (there is maximum 3 people to interrogate during the court sessions). We're also making this so that even if your character isn't part of the canon, they can join the defense team.
Since no one's powers or persona work in this world, you'll need to rely on your wits, and do this as a team. There will be an OOC post set up so that players can talk to each other and try to figure out what happened. So go forth, and Make Justice Reign Supreme!

Here is what we'll need
There will be:
▶ One character per player maximum! Additionally, any character that looks like a monster or creature will have to pretend to be in costume. Keep in mind, powers will not work in this world.
▶ Two defense teams made up of maximum 4 people each. Each will interrogate a character during the turns so that everyone gets a fair chance, but to make sure that the speed is fast enough.
▶ A team of investigators who will be going to the scene of the crime to talk with civilians and search for clues. This will be more of a free-for-all where people can tag in in groups, or by solo. These people will also be present in court, and may IC send messages to the defense team if they notice something.
▶ We will require a signup from everyone regardless if they are part of court or investigation, as we wish to know how many characters we should be expecting for this.
▶ Additionally we require to have a few volunteers who would be fine knowing the full plot of this, or are willing to NPC some characters. This is both for pacing purposes (if questioning stalls, they know what questions to ask, or move the investigation a certain way) and to aid us. To keep this a secret as to who knows from who doesn't, there is a special section below where you can sign up.
We hope you'll have fun with us! The courtroom promises to have full of surprises...
Signups close on the 14th and are open to all, including any new players accepted during this time who wishes to sign up.

Or, baring that she is really good at organizing facts and being completely unimpressed with people shouting OBJECTION!

So Link is going to hear the words "rescue mission" and fling himself at this only to be extremely disappointed that it doesn't involve fighting giant boss monsters with swords. He will at least help with the investigation especially because he is short and can fit into places grown-ups can't and who would suspect a kid of anything anyway?
