Hi, I'm freshmeat Ki and this is Yurick from The Last Story for the Nintendo Wii. He's a powerful fire mage, the youngest member of a mercenary group, and a bit of a defrosting ice prince. Since he's an orphan he had to learn self-reliance at a young age, so he can come across as a bit distant and he can fling sarcasm with pinpoint accuracy. Behind that chilly mask he's actually very soft-hearted and caring, it's just a matter of finding the cracks in the armor. Once you're in, he's a loyal friend and tough ally who will back you up without question (unless there are ghosts involved, he's terrified of them). He's absolutely devoted to his comrade Zael, who is his first true friend (and someone he feels he owes a life-debt), so if you mess with one, you mess with both.

I'm happy to be here! Yurick might eventually warm up to this place, too, so in the meantime be kind to both of us.

... oh, and don't try to look under the eyepatch. It's like Fight Club, you don't talk about it. That's privileged information, friends only.

And now that I've got you all distracted, hello Destiny Strings! This is Pikari, your Yurippe player bringing in her second character, Jiyu 'Jubei' Nanohana from that 90's anime, Jubei-chan.

Basically, she's a girl who becomes a magical samurai when she puts on the lovely heart-shaped eyepatch. Oh, and she's coming from episode 12, so YES SHE WILL LOOK LIKE THAT.

Also, Jiyu's known for having big, bouncy bon bons so there's that too...

Hey guys. Nerdo here.

This is a really jerk time to be doing it, seeing as it's the tail end of app season and all, but it's...taken me a long time to work up to this. I'm going to be leaving Destiny Strings and RP in general. Long story short, RP is a lot of emotional stress for me. More than I feel it should be, in fact, so I'm getting out of the hobby at least for the moment to concentrate on real life. This means, in spite of how wonderful this game is and all the excellent people I've gotten fond of playing with, Rise Kujikawa and Meetra Surik (The Jedi Exile) are officially dropped as of now, and Latooni Suvota will be dropped once we're done with that boss log she's in, which I am seeing through to the end if it kills me.

I don't think I've ever been this sad to drop a game before, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Or he'll be fired out of a cannon into the sun, or something. I'm going to miss everyone here. Yes, even you. I'm not purging my accounts or anything and I'll still be around on plurk or AIM, I just...need to retire from RP, at least for a long while.
