The results are in for the fights and the rescue teams! Thank you to everyone who has signed up.

IC wise, kidnapping will happen on late Wednesday night, rescue planning all of Thursday with the rescue attempt on Friday night until Saturday morning.
OOC wise, the first kidnapped mingle log will go up tomorrow, a post by an NPC tomorrow night, and then the fighting and rescue logs will go up Friday night.

And these are the randomization results for the fights for the kidnapped. Keep in mind that the battles will happen simultaneously in a giant arena, so if you'd like to plan ahead, please feel free to do so below!

There are two things to keep in mind:
1) Is that the reason we didn't ask you for your levels is that the demons wouldn't care and expect carnage and death anyway. However,
2) Your characters will be aware that a rescue is coming so part of the plan is working IC with your teammate, and stalling as long as possible, while giving demons a show.
2.5) For those fighting an NPC, there is no planning. Have fun! >B]

For everyone else, the word will be to continue business as usual. Basically they do not want to spread city-wide panic with the sudden disappearances. Unfortunately, only so many can be part of the rescue team, so the best you can do is mentally lend your strength to them from far away and hope they'll come out fine...

Nikolai vs Faris

OI, GET IN HERE. WE NEED TO TALK.

Faris is Level 2 as a Persona user as of May but she doesn't have any Persona of that level yet. On that front she's got Grace O'Malley (or... just O'Malley), with some Fire and good Physical, with Waira on reserve. She hasn't been that good at using either of them regularly, but I think O'Malley actually has her 6th skill if I can find those logs where she used it.

On the other hand, she's a Final Fantasy character from a game with a Job system, which means she has an enormous list of non-Persona combat stuff she can do, depending on how hard she gets hit with the nerf bat.

OH HAI. Well this will be something! Nik is pretty much the same - a level two user with only his soul persona, Christine. He doesn't like Persona much so he hasn't pursued getting another... yet.

Nikolai will not want to be forced to fight and will gladly just put on a show with Faris if she wants. However, he's a hitman with a 10+ year old career, so he's really good with guns and a very solid hand to hand fighter too, in case she's serious. He's hardly a FF character though. :V

She's not all that subtle, so trying to telegraph her attacks so Nik could dodge might not be that much of a question. Typically she goes with one or two swords, so he'll probably have to go hand-to-hand in any case.

HEDGEHOG ON PENGUIN ACTION (Shadow vs Dedede)

Yeah so Shadow's... Shadow's really aggressive and arrogant and has the talent to back it up. He hasn't awakened to his persona yet, but he's got plenty of powers regardless. That being said, he can be cooperative, it just... Depends on Dedede getting on his good side. If he's pushed he will try to demonstrate just how powerful he is.

I honestly had a feeling he was going to get paired up with Dedede. Either him or Mesousa.

ANIMAL FIGHT

DeDeDe hates pointless fighting. A lot. So he's going to be pretty reluctant to go along with this plan in the first place, but he will if it's to prevent anyone from dying. That's basically how he's end up framing it with Shadow. He's not interested in showing off or even proving he's stronger than anyone, really, just getting out alive.

As far as actual combat ability, since we both know OOC it will come down to it, he's immensely strong and has a jet-powered hammer. However, he's pretty slow too, so Shadow should be able to easily dodge just about any attack D tosses his way. He does have his Personas, though, so if it comes down to it he'll use those instead.

I think he'll find Shadow very cooperative, then! Shadow will probably think the whole idea is silly, although he will warn Dedede that he's strong (you know, btw I am the ultimate life form, just had to get that out there, etc).

EVENT SWITCH: Phan-tom Friend Fight! (Gentarou Kisaragi vs Phantom Girl)

Phantom Girl became fast friends with Gen, so there's no way he won't be willing to cooperate and ham up the fight as much as possible. Gen's battle style is the sort of "headfirst, make things up on the fly, mostly brute stupid force" you'd expect a hyperactive high school protag to have. On the Persona front, he's got Dellingr, his basic Persona that he hasn't really... used in a fight yet. So he gets to learn how to use that! Meanwhile, he will have access to just about everything in the Fourze System except for a nerfed Rocket Switch (only allowing five seconds of flight at a time). He'll definitely be looking to make this more entertaining than lethal, though. Gen's a good kid.

Phantom Girl is probably as of yet unaware that they are fast friends but she will certainly recognize her hero~ She'll be willing to play along and put on a good show! Her powers will be nerfed to also let's say 5 seconds of use before she gets ejected from whatever she's being intangible in, but she knows superhero martial arts and all that kind of thing.

Sam versus Daichi

Okay but seriously, Sam will not like this one bit, and will probably whine and cower and try not to fight as long as possible- but if he's forced to, he'll fight, alright. He has a really frickin' creepy Persona, though one should be thankful it is only Level 1.

Other than that, he's no good at physical fighting (he's more of a brains versus brawns deal), but if push really comes to shove, he'll show his true face, which is pretty much Lovecraftian Creature central and will probably break people's minds in the process. BUT HE DOESN'T LIKE DOING THIS he'll pretend to be wimpy and pathetic as much as he can. He'll be cooperative if he thinks it'll get him out safe and sound, though.

guess who's gonna have nightmares over that Persona if it shows up, spoilers it's Daichi.

LUCKILY is only Persona is also the level 1and he doesn't even have all the skills unlocked yet Agni, and employs a lot of fire attacks. Unluckily he's also a much better physical fighter than he is a spellcaster, so he'll probably go in for the punches until if/when the Lovecraft part happens. He can also cast his own magic (and he likes to use ice spells mostly) and can summon demons and all that fun SMT jazz.

He's usually a pretty big anti-fighting and a bit cowardly himself so he probably won't take it too far and will probably try and encourage Sam to play along if he actually gets a chance to talk to him and all that jazz.

Blues vs Zelgius

I ACTUALLY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PLAN THIS.

Blues has used his Persona before, and he may actually rely on that the most during this since well... He has the robot equivalent to a poor heart so going all out with his natural skills (aka pew pew energy gun) will wipe him out quickly. So, uh yeah. I also know diddly squat about Zelgius other than "Fire Emblems".

also unlike his brother Mega Man, Blues has no qualms about hurting humans, but he can fake it too?

and robot. can you tell I have no idea what so say here?

Well, ask me what you'd like to know about Zelgius, and I will tell you. =w= The problem here is going to be making sure Zelgius doesn't deal too much damage; he's mostly a physical fighter, and so is his Persona. Those impacts are going to hurt, even if Zelgius does mostly feinting and hits that are easily blocked (does Blues have anything to block a big blade with?). Blues might be able to keep him on his toes if he attacks rapidly enough, but maybe that's a "we'll see what happens" kind of deal?

...I'll try to be more useful when I'm not so tired, but I figured I should reply to you quickly. :'D Sorry.

Germany vs. Junpei

I'll think of something better in the morning when I'm not so braindead. :'D Well, when Germany gets wind of the rescue team (if he does...? I forgot if that's a thing), he's probably going to tell Junpei to watch his fire and stick to flashy moves to wow the crowd. Since the crowd's going to be looking for flash, he'll probably be using his magic moves instead of his physical ones, since those would do more damage. He might be able to use his fists a bit, but for the most part he'll be using his Persona.

Sounds good! Junpei might get a little cocky during the whole ordeal, which might annoy Germany ^^; But hopefully that'll add to the fun for us muns. You can shove him around a bit if he does get annoying!

Ushiro vs Miki

This won't go badly at all.

And by that I mean Miki is (I assume) comfortable with her Persona whereas Ushiro can't manage to summon his without wanting to either cry or punch something. He's also very new at using his so. I don't imagine this will last that long. Ushiro might try to drag it out but I don't know how much he can.

Miki is very comfortable with her Personas.

She'll help him drag it out basically since she can take a fair amount of damage. And try to make it believeable.

Johnny vs Taro

Well this won't end well, I think. His combat Persona is Charmander so um. Yeah.

He'll do his best to stall since his natural talents include shapeshifting so he can put on a good show. If he really has to he can illusion them both up for a short time, but so many eyes on them will make it hard for him to keep it up.

Still! Johnny won't want to actually hurt him, so avoidance works and he's good at playing things up, so maybe they can distract well enough! also, you know, hitting him once or twice isn't going to kill him, nbd

Yuzuru vs. Elaine

Elaine is pretty much a swordfighter and that's it. She only has her soul Persona still and usually just tries to rely on her own skills before bringing it out to play.

Also I kind of want to try to incorporate insult sword-fighting into this... SOMEHOW.

This kid only has his soul Persona too (though I need to update it, it should be level 2 by now I believe), and it's support so he's basically a worthless fighter Persona-wise.

The good news is is he'd be willing to take hits and heal them up after just to stallllll. And he uses guns normally and only has a small pocket knife otherwise, buuut if she has an extra sword (or they can find one) and she kinda guides him on it...

HE'D PROBABLY DO INSULT SWORD FIGHTING? It sounds excellent to me! But he's really squishable so his insults wouldn't be very... good, I think.

Senri vs Owain
