The Underground Plot Signups
We hope you guys are having fun in the player plot! Hot on the heels of this is a little something we've been planning and require signups to join:
If you've been with us for a while, you may remember the Persona fight tournaments that are so popular in the city, until the Arena was unfortunately destroyed in an Anoli attack. However, there is one issue related to these tournaments yet to be seen: There are rumors about an underground Persona Dueling league found in the sewers of the city, where there are no rules. Just extreme combat and much, much higher stakes...
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Underground.
The Underground is a fighting tournament held by demons and led by the mysterious Ringleader. While it once matched up to its rumored status as a Persona Dueling league, where they would kidnap unsuspecting citizens with personas and lure in thugs from the streets to fight against demons and each other, at present time it is much less so. The Government interfered with this illegal rink and were set to destroy it, but instead a truce was formed between them and the higher ups after much negotiation.
Demons in the scene are now no longer allowed to kidnap or attack the residents; quite a blessing, considering how powerful and influential most of them are. In exchange, they are left to their own devices by the government; the most important detail, however, is that it keeps the demons out of the cities hair, as their time and aggression tends to be spent on the tournament rather than on causing havoc. No one knows who they are or where the fights are being held any more... but like everyone else in the city, they've caught wind of you, and they are very interested. After all, while their truce says that they can't harm civilians, you're not exactly Residents, now are you?
They've seen you, they've seen what you can do, and they are quite interested in testing you out in their fights. Of course, to get you to come to them would be much too simple and none too successful, so they'll need to get a little sneaky about it. Well, kidnapping a few of you will solve this problem quite nicely, they figure! And kidnap you they'll do. The government will catch wind of this rather quickly, but since the truce still stands, they can't do much to help, hands being tied and all; but you, on the other hand...
In other words, sucks to be you. Don't worry, they'll help you as much as they can.
But for the most part? You're on your own. Visitor to Visitor, there's much more at stake here than you might think...
THE KIDNAPPED
The kidnapped have no set group limit, and you can enter as many of your characters as you wish. How did you manage to get kidnapped? Don't worry, these guys are really good at what they do.
If you're kidnapped, you'll be first waking up in a small holding area that nerfs your powers with the others in your same position; a mingle post will be set up for this. All the kidnapped will be entered into a tournament roster with their fellow visitors and some powerful demons chomping at the bit to get a blow at you. Once you get a message from the other visitors later informing you of the incoming rescue mission, the main idea will be to stall these fights as long as possible while trying to keep the demons too entertained to just kill you out of boredom. In other words, trying to kill each other while (hopefully) not actually killing each other. Remember, death is permanent in this game. Demons love a good fight, so you'll need to give them a good show to keep them interested, and maybe reap some rewards along the way.
You will be worn out by the time the others arrive.
RESCUE TEAMS
There are two rescue teams that will enter from two different entrances, as no one is exactly sure which one leads to the tournament area. Your primary mission will be to infiltrate and save the kidnapees and bust them out of the tournament. Each team will progress down a different path through the Underground, with the possibility of confrontations and learning some unique information from the demons lurking about. You may only sign up ONE CHARACTER you play into the rescue teams (you are free to also sign them up to potentially be kidnapped in case you are not chosen for the rescue team), and we request that you be confident you could tag at at least a medium speed in order to ensure the team progresses.
Characters with Support personas will be important in this rescue mission!
But be careful of what you do. Your actions outside of the mission objective may have far-reaching consequences and may earn the ire of others... but could come with some pretty great rewards and clues. It will be up to you to decide.
The plot has multiple endings depending on the choices the teams take, and in-game consequences for the future.
Good luck. You'll need it.
SIGNUPS CLOSE ON THE 23RD. RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ON 24TH, PLOT STARTS 25TH AT NIGHT.
