Crossover Event End!
▼ Tower of Fatorum; Event End!
And now, for David Bowie to arrive in a shower of sparkles

...Wait that has nothing to do with the event
▼ Resumed Timeline for those who were at animus (and those who want to know what happened)
▶ The group arrived and stayed in a holding room for a few hours.
▶ They then started to go around, wondering what they had to find, and who "He" was.
▶ Some meet up with old friends or family that was in the tower and vowed to help them...
▶ They joined in the monthly 'tower games' which included searching for a ghost, a finger game and a bath game.
▶ As a door was left open and the tower residents sneaked in and discovered dark secrets, He finally made his move.
▶ With the power of their Persona, members of Hinoto-Ri were able to confront him in the Mirror Maze inside the tower. And there He was. Nyarlathotep. (The log is still in progress, so there's more to come here!).
▶ Today, while other things were going on, he then attempted to end it all.
▶ Ruana and the other administrators talked and Dax was killed for his part in allowing the Tower of Animus inhabitants to enter the door during the chaos caused by the arrival of the Destiny String Guests ((WARNING EXTREMELY DISTURBING GORE DESCRIPTION IN THIS LINK)) with her new powers, she was able to expel everyone from the tower, without allowing them to say goodbye.
▶ In the end, while they might have given hope to some, there was not much they could do. They visited a tower and returned with the knowledge that, somewhere, there is a place that they can never return to to fix. And that they were able to meet and talk with the Crawling Chaos Himself...
▶ This feeling of helplessness might have been Nyarlathotep's intention all along...
▶ If this either saddens your character to the verge of despair of enforces their resolution is ultimately up to them...

▼ The Nyarlathotep log
▶ This is for everyone who is still in this log that is in progress! I will continue to tag until everyone is done even if it takes a month or two.
▶ However below you can reply and tell me what you'd like for Nyarlathotep to let out in the open about your characters. Everyone in the Mirror of Mazes will be getting a chance to confront him.
▶ Because he will taunt them with many things and knows all of your soul's secrets, and because who doesn't like playing our terrible things, you can reply below detailing what YOU'D like for him to let out in the open. Keep in mind that your team will be hearing these things, sometimes other teams as well. And he knows things that even your characters might not know (for example he taunted Link about the alternate timeline where he fails to stop Ganondorf).
▶ Therefore, list below what you'd like, and if we're okay with it, it can happen and meanwhile you can thread the return trip without having to worry what will happen.

▼ Upcoming month, March 'Calming Resolution'.
A time for rest. We encourage players to start their own plots using the Shining Trapezohedron and submit ideas to us!
This is going to be a lot more quiet, especially considering what has happened in Tower of Animus.

What kind of a Devil would be able to save anyone, anyway?

He was trying to be all heroic and save the Blade Children, the results of his original's attempt to replace the human race with children bearing his blood and violent tendencies. Since Blade Children are supposed to all "snap" and begin trying to wipe out humans after a certain point (or if sufficiently triggered), Hizumi studied genetics and looked for a way to prevent that from happening so that the Blade Children could stop worrying about 1. having their personalities change enough to make them slaughter people at a certain age and 2. normal humans trying to slaughter them to prevent this.

1 - She was given the chance to join the Illuminus, the bad guy faction from her world. And she'd have likely signed up if not for the SEED-fall becoming a much bigger issue and joining the GUARDIANS instead. This is something that she has made a point to tell no one.
2 - When it all comes down to it, no matter how many friends she wants to make or other things she wants to do, she is still a machine built with the purpose of killing things. What right does a thing like that have to talk about saving people and doing good and peace and etc etc and so forth?

Her closest friends in the Gurhal system were Falk Gatt (a fellow CAST, big clunky robot guy with a Texas accent, a bit of a mentor), Rina Wildreaper (A newman, someone she did fun girly things with), and Mella Nish (next-door neighbor, liked to trade Dakki books and movies in exchange for old equipment).
Yarr, I hope that's not too much irrelevant info. Or not enough relevant info for that matter. Anything else? :O

join the circusjoin 0048. Her dad, who was a government official, got thrown in an underground jail, and her mom went through a nasty depression because of it. They're all okay now, but she doesn't like talking about how she ran off to chase a dream and let her parents take the hit. She's also got a lot of her own issues around insecurity and not being good enough to either protect everyone when she has to fight or perform when she's on the spot. It can affect her enough that she freezes up now and then or loses her voice due to anxiety. What good's an idol who's meant to share music and light and love with everyone if she's too scared to sing?

He failed his gene-father, Horus Lupercal. He did remain loyal to his grandfather the Empra.
He's lost his best friend in a treacherous fight against his two other (Traitorous) best friends.
He no longer has a legion or even a name, really. He's known as Cerberus and has gone outside of the bonds of brotherhood that once defined him.
At his point in Canon, Horus is winning. Now horus DOES die, and the big E becomes entombed as an undead immortal god-king of humanity, but that was pretty much a perversion of the secular Imperial Truth that Garviel has had faith in.

▶ Shinjiro grew up in an orphanage with Akihiko and Miki. Miki died in a fire and there wasn't anything Shinjiro could do about it.
▶ He also accidentally killed a woman when his Persona went out of control in front of her child. This is something he'll always feel guilty about. He hates himself for it, and that guilt and hate are emotions that will probably never go away.
He's got plenty of issues, so have at it.

▶ The fact that he's basically a murder with no shame that's now trying to save people (though with more murders just not indiscriminate ones)
▶ The whole "you're basically a monster and your best friend is a monster (vampire) too who the hell do you guys think you're trying to fool" could be a button that can be pushed.
▶ The thought of spending so long as a Karas that he ends up trying to wipe the humans (or the demons!) from the city to cure 'corruption' like Eko attempted is definitely a cause for concern for him.
▶ The fact that he can't access his powers unless the will of the city says so is an annoyance for him.
▶ Also he turned into a literal demon once in Vatheon and ate people and didn't give a shit about it. (It was a powerswap event, Otoha got stuck with a DDS Atma.)
Basically Otoha is a ball of "don't care" about murder and "I don't get why people are afraid of death", but pointing out the fact that he's basically the protagonist now despite being a horrible person and he can't protect the people he cares about (Reiji, who was his best friend/basically his brother; Johnny) is probably the best route to go.

... Really no matter what Nyarly says, he'll likely admit it and keep up a tough front, but have trouble later. If he really wants to push his buttons though, he won't turn into Otoha but into his father (who is also his brother because incest). I can get you a screencap or two if you'd like, I think.

Re: Mirror of Mazes Log / The Haunter of the Dark Log
Also. Tease her for loving those damn glasses.
WOW TL;DR I'M SORRY
1. Blame him for the death of his sister, Claire. Because of all the the things you could actually make him feel despair about, it's the one person he cared about besides himself. Quick rundown of backstory- he got a job with mysterious and creepy owner of world's largest company stealing things for him because he was greedy, owner proposed a creepy sort of relationship/soulmate thing, Sam refused, and then his sister got killed off as a result by said founder. Sam really feels bad about that, as if he hadn't taken the job in the first place, she wouldn't have been put in danger. It's a huge sore point and he will lash out in almost animalistic anger if somebody keeps poking at it.
2. Comparing him to Y, the said founder of said company he worked for. Call Sam a monster, and Sam will just pretend to be upset while just shrugging it off. Comparing him to Y, however, who is the one person that he hates beyond anything else, will produce very unpleasant results- I mean, he became the way he was just to kill the guy. So, saying that he's exactly like Y will really tick Sam off, and it'll be hard for him to put up that sniveling facade he likes so much.
3. Calling him weak. Repeatedly. He became a monster in the first place because he knew he wouldn't be strong facing his nemesis by himself. HE IS NOT WEAK THANK YOU VERY MUCH yes he is.
I HOPE THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH SOB
YAMATO & KAZUYA
Basically Yamato has ALL OF THE ISSUES.
Kazuya: YOU MADE A MISTAKE YOU MADE A MISTAKE GOD YOU'RE A FUCKING MONSTER YOU'RE A FAILURE JAPAN IS IN RUINS BECAUSE OF YOU.
Basically Kazuya feels he made a mistake in choosing to become King of Bel, but covers it up with flippant remarks and shit, because he feels that not taking it seriously and avoiding it is the best way for him to not deal with it. He's also beginning to lose his humanity, and he is worried that one day he'd just stop giving a shit about everything and anyone, Naoya and Atsuro included. So, mm, things about that?
IDK I tossed some stuff up there, you can fiddle and change it if you'd like.

She also just discovered the Holy Grail is tainted by evil and if she wishes upon it, it could potentially destroy the world. He could make comments about if the world is really worth more than the world itself and the life she's come to know?
Does that make sense at all? If you have ideas for other things he could say, feel free to let me know.

▶ Ferrus had a slightly more then chaste interest in a psychologically unstable friend (confident schizophrenic who swaps between cold professional and insanely confident). He's come to rely heavily on their relationship - and, seeing as this guy was the only one to help build him up, and then they were separated after 8 years of interaction? He's fallen hard. In more ways then one. (Best berserk button here is using Frak's face against him - or his lack of remembering it thereof. He only barely remembers it - it's been absolutely years...)
▶ Ferrus has been a failure throughout his life, and he's never come to terms with that. He failed his parents (by his birth in his opinion; he could have been born normal! Not albino!), he failed himself (earning his burning and scars), failed the priesthood (by his lack of belief)... He also has various memories of failing his Inquisitor, failing his team - and no doubt at least one person has died that he was working with (and he no doubt blames himself. I don't have a specific person in mind, but should you want to go this route. Let me know?)
▶ Ferrus hates himself! Yaaay. He hates himself a lot. He hates how he stutters, he hates how he acts, he hates how he looks. (Here's a quick note - if Nyarly shows him with mask/hood down, he will get angry. Das his face, Nyarly.) He's also socially inept and has very little friends and is acutely aware of this. Most of his friends use him, too, and while he resents this a bit he's also used to it.
▶ Some fast extra stuff because this is already hilariously long as I try and give you options to go off of. Ferrus doesn't wholly believe in the techpriest doctrine and he's acutely aware of this - nudging it would put him on edge/startle him. He worries about scaring other people by his appearance, to the point of obsession - he reacts very strongly to having his mask taken off around others; either anger or fright, depending...
I wrote a lot here, but mostly because Ferrus is a legitimate challenge to rouse! Haha. PM me if this gives you any Ideas?

wow this is longer then i thought sorry modsno subject
He's harboring resentment for Garviel with how he's being treated by Garvi - stopping him from trying out Persona powers, to the point Ferrus is working behind Garviel's back to use them anyway...
anyway yes, I'M DONE MAKING NOTES HERE HAHA
