December Event Update, 2012

More info than you ever wanted...

WELCOME TO...

A VERY MERRY OUTBREAK THE MUSICAL STARRING FROST AND PYRO JACKS HOLIDAY SPECIAL™

Let's quickly resume what's been happening so far...

❆ The weather has been going hot one day, then cold the next, and the increments have been getting worse and worse. What's going on?

Velvet Room

✹ Tonight the Velvet Room will appear so you can change your personas/get requests/hand in requests. For this time only, the VELVET ROOM WILL BE DONE OFFSCREEN so we can concentrate on the rest of the event. For new players, if you want to really do their first time coming into the Velvet Room, you can hijack the November Log and we will tag you there.

For everyone else (and the new players too if you want to do so!), you can go fill out a Persona Request form. You can request either new Persona (which can only be based on your world) or pick one of the public persona in the Persona List. Remember, each character can have an extra Persona along with their normal, Soul one, so make use of it if you'd like! We are getting to have a pretty big Public Collection now, so enjoy that!

Requests can be asked until the 22nd of December. Requests are normally asked in that month and then filled out in the next. They give you extra weapons, items, sometimes persona.

Not only that but if you wish, please fill out the PERSONA VELVET ROOM CR whereupon the Velvet Room Attendants will ask you request involving another character, giving you excuses for extra CR that you may have never dreamed of!

Moreover, if you'd like to meet them in person in the city, the siblings will be out during the event if you want to catch them in [this log].

And then...

❆ Tomorrow The Weather Goes Nuts meaning there is both hot weather and snow everywhere! Where? That is up to you! Literally one street can be filled with snow, while the next is perfect summer weather. How high or how low this is, is entirely up to you! Be frustrated! Be annoyed!

✹ Looking into the problem, the fault will be traced back to Pyro Jacks and Jack Frosts during this weekend. Four people will be sent to talk with them, due to their affinity to the same elements.

Unfortunately they will be brainwashed and join them in their quest to either spread hot or cold weather. The people involved are:

Please take the time to admire the outfits they'll be wearing for the event. Everyone on that list has specific things they can do and anyone who signed up, also gets bonuses and ill effects. For everyone else it will just be normal annoyance associated with cold and hot weather.

What's this I heard about singing?!

❆ Right then! From the 15th to the 23rd, the Nanomachines in your translation modules will malfunction causing everyone who wishes to be affected to randomly burst out into song. THIS CAN HAPPEN AS LITTLE OR AS OFTEN AS YOU WISH although the symptoms will get worse and frequently until the 23rd when they will mysteriously just stop (HMMMMmmmmmmmm).

✹ So as the four brainwashed people go around singing about the glory of Green and White Christmases you have to rescue your friends and make both of the Jack clans stop this madness!

SO WHAT SONGS CAN WE USE?

❆ Anything! Any part of the world. Any year. Anywhere. Granted they probably will have no idea what they are singing if it's in another language, but you will. Lyrics can be modified to fit with the singer better (so a song that talks about being a man can talk about being a woman, etc.) or just keeping the beats and rebuilding the lyrics from the ground up as long as they keep the spirit of the original.

As an example, I made a version of "Like a Boss" for Eikichi. And yes, you can use sung TV series intros, if you'd like.

✹ OPT OUT Weather wise, if you don't want your character affected, they will need to stay inside their apartment.

Singing wise, everyone is affected, but due to the fact it goes on and off at the best/worst of times, if you don't want to play this part, simply post during the times when they aren't singing.
