Oh man, I am slowly but surely getting things taken care of--hello everyone! It's good to meet you all! My name is Ruby (medleyloop) and I'll be bringing in Son Goku from Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki series! For those not in the know, it's an... interesting, if mildly crack-filled take on the Chinese Journey to the West story. It starts off a little rough, a little like a typical shounen series, up until it starts to get into the backstories of our heroes. Then you start wondering if it's meant to be under the seinen genre instead with all this focus on the characters and their increasingly terrible world rather than fighting, or maybe something else entirely with these relationships, dang.

And somewhere along the way into Gaiden and Reload you start crying gross tears.

It's fantastic.

Goku is, well, based on the Monkey King of the original. He's still cocky, hot blooded and perpetually hungry, but less of an outright dick or actual monkey. In fact, Goku's a pretty good guy with some touching moments in the manga canon (again, gross tears may be involved). Here in Strings he's an Aries under the Sun arcana, and will be staying at 9-10 (Pisces)! Lastly, his profile is here and his unlucky arcana are Judgement, Hermit, Tower, and Death!
