End of the Month News ▼

 

Expect these posts to pop up at the end of each month to give you a status report of what has been done and how your efforts have aided the city.

Thanks to the visitors helping out, the biggest issue with the crisis was resolved in a short time; that is, the human population. For the most part, the majority of the civilians were saved and have calmed down. While the city will not be able to restart all of its normal daily activities anytime soon, people have started to go back to their routines and their businesses, thanks to you.

The demonic population, on the other hand, has retreated to the outer parts of the city, which are now even more dangerous than ever.

The Network is back to normal for the visitors, at 50% for the normal populace and Electrical Power is back at 50% for the city. Efforts should be finalized by the end of next month, if all goes according to plan.

Transportation is still very slow, and you cannot drive a car or bus over most bridges for now. The subway system is currently down, but the teleporters in both apartments are working.

People who replied in the sabotage will be getting PMs about what they did as well.

With major NPCs gone due to their kidnappings, several changes have occurred:

> Misfit, Senri, and MiRa were given keys to the city by the mayor for rescuing him from the demons. While not holding much monetary value, they do grant them the ability to go into the private library inside City Hall.

> Because the mission was harsh and only had 4 people in the rescue (Junko was involved as well), the mayor will be out of commission until the end of December. He will be replaced by his aide and guard, Junko, with Isabelle doing her duties as usual.

> Avitus will be made an official city architect, with Isabelle presiding over him.

> All players who offered humanitarian aid or fought demons on the pandemonium log will get the following presents from grateful citizens:
Stuffed animals, lucky coins/charms, drawings from little kids.
Food, money, or free good/services from adults.
How much they get is up to you depending on how much work you think they did.

> Fumi, Naoya and Ruri are in charge of the network system while the Seven and Wise Men are gone.

> Sarah, Apollo, Germany, MiRa, Allelujah and Yuzu will be given special demon hunting permits that allow them to enter zones restricted to even most Visitors. This will allow them to visit the edges of the city. They are allowed to bring fellow Visitors with them, but one of them must always be present for them to be able to pass.

> Kotoha will be offered the job of greeting new Visitors when the arrive due to the guide she created.

> Desco and Shura are given special permits that mention they are demons but are not to be harmed. It's... more of a symbolic gesture as thanks for their aid.

City Status Update ▼

 

> Population: 1,09 million people.
> About 5,000 people died last month, many due to the demon attack.
> Size 280 km² (20km² lost during the demon attack)

Monthly rates:
> Average birthrate: 11 per 1000 people. (+2, that's good!)
> Average death rate: 22 per 1000 people. (+4, that's bad but mostly due to the place kinda being broken down. The fact it's only at +4 is very good!)

Currently the population sees the Visitors as:
Heroes. The high humanitarian efforts have paid off!

Currently the demonic population sees the Visitors as:
Acceptable. Most of the neutral aligned demons see you as strong, but question your need to protect the weak.

Building Status as of November 29th, 10AC ▼

 

Anything that is abandoned can be claimed in the reply post below. Remember that normal rules for a building would apply and at this stage, electricity and basics would not be provided.

NOTE: If your character is claiming a location to live in as their new residence, please fill out the moving submission form to let us know so that we can keep the housing page updated.

Players can also chose to help fix anything that is damaged.

Damaged areas will take 2 IC months to be fixed with 5 visitors or less joining the efforts regularly, or 1 month if there are more than 5 who sign up.

Heavily Damaged Areas will take 4 IC months to be fixed with 5 visitors or less joining the efforts regularly, or 2 months if there are more than 5 who sign up.

So due to naming hilarity, Hizumi's going to be looking into getting Ayumu to take over the Narumi Detective Agency. As it so happens, they'll also be trying to find a place to move in together, which means they would likely want to convert the place into a residence instead.

Would this be possible?

It is! They will not get electrical power for a while until the grid is completely reestablished, if that is fine with you.

Repairing

If your character would like to repair a particular building / aid with repairs, please reply here with the list of buildings from the list. Keep in mind they would be helping during next month but not all the time; just when they can.

Re: Repairing

Agatha is helping to fix the MAGI building. 'Helping' here means she built a clank designed to fix buildings and has left it there with some dingbots. The dingbots are working on the finer repairs while the larger clank handles the heavy labor. She goes back every morning to check their progress and wind the dingbots.

Any sensitive equipment or research materials that can be recovered from the building will be moved to Castle Heterodyne for safe keeping.

I know Avitus'll have his hands full with drafting plans and trying to get the shelters and housing built/rebuilt, not to mention the attempt to expand the hospital... would it count for anything if he asked that they direct/hire a couple more civilians/native volunteers to help out with clearing the roads and fixing the transportation systems and bridges too, including the Moonlight Bridge? He'd cite the reasoning that the quicker one can travel, the easier it'll be to move supplies and workers around and restore the city faster. (So whether that even counts or not would depend on the NPCs/civilians, I'm sure.)

Also, as a note to anyone whose chars might be working for him at the little shop he owns: he'll offer to pay them store-hour wages for working on (re)construction/aid stuff too/instead, if that's any incentive? :)

All of the buildings that require repairing

Noda would be helping with every building Moonlight Bridge, Junes where he will later be banned due to being counter productive and destructive, and MAGI Building.

He has the physical strength to carry things, so he can be helpful with that, at least! o/

Thanks to the memory swap event Kotoha can clean labs to the standards of Nikola Tesla, famous obsessive scientist dude, plus she is BFFs with Fumi, so she will be helping with the Magi Building.
