Velvet Room on Standby ▼
We talked amongst ourselves and realized that considering we have many logs happening right now that require mod attention, we will postpone the Velvet Room log and place it right before the first rescue mission this December. This way, we are able to concentrate on the rebuilding operation of the city.
We apologize for the delay, but you are still allowed to take out new Personas as usual, and the log was going to serve more for flavor than plot related so there's plenty of time for it!
Don't forget to vote!▼
This being said, there is still time to vote on where this rescue operation will take place!
Head on over to this link, and tell us where you want to go!
City Rebuilding and Searching ▼
Additionally, below you will find sections of the city. What we'd like you to do is to either link to logs involving your characters going there, or simply reply here that this is the place your characters will help with the most.
Even if you don't have the time to make an IC thread and only reply here, it will still be taken into account! This will give us a good idea of what areas are being worked on and what needs to happen. Remember, depending on what you do and what you search for, the story will change accordingly!
Note: This entire post will be screened due to the sabotage option but we will unscreen comments as they come on.
Taken list updated, please notify us if you don't show up ▼
The taken page has been updated with the new look! We are still missing certain people who didn't reply during the activity check, so if your name is missing, simply reply to the page there and we'll add it ASAP! Thank you!

City General Cleanup
incoming tl;dr, oops....
I know he'd want to try making a few changes if he can -- he'll want to add another wing or level onto the hospital for backup/emergency space for more beds and such, because... yeah, could be a good thing, especially with how many people there are and how many could get hurt. He'll also want to see if he can set up (quickly, while the circumstances to initially justify it are still plain for everyone to see, if not during the crud still going on) some shelters, in actual buildings, not just tents or whatever, and build them with a big cafeteria-type area, at least one in each residential district, preferably one in each district (though prolly not big ones in most of them.) Because especially when stuff gets knocked down and damaged, people still need places to sleep and food to eat.
After the craziness dies down, he's going to try making the shelter-and-food locations much more permanent fixtures (because, as he'd put it, "This has happened how many times now, in living human memory? How many times more could disasters yet strike, in which such places could be of great benefit? Would you rather be unprepared, or plan ahead and appear competent and caring, for better serving the interests of this city's inhabitants?") and open and being serviced as long as possible: have someone contact the stores to see if they'll contribute supplies and food for it, and if they'd continue, past the disaster, to contribute the stock that'd otherwise be discarded shortly due to shelf life (waste not, want not!) like fresh produce, deli items, hot counter items that didn't sell, etc. (Besides, it's good for the stores' reputations, right?) If he has it his way, they'll stay open on a constant basis for the city's poor, well after this mess has been resolved. He's less pro-government, and more pro-people. Being allied/working with the government here means better resources and connections to do this sort of stuff, see!
Longer-term, he'll want to see about reinforcing a lot of the buildings, which... will very likely mean taking a page from his homeworld and how things are built in the Citadel, and connecting the new buildings so that they support each other's structural integrity, not unlike the stores in a strip mall. This means that a lot of the taller buildings close to each other may end up being connected a couple stories off the ground, or every few stories, even if only by enclosed bridges and such -- not only does it help the buildings to support and be supported by their neighbors, but it provides easy travel from one to another, even in the event that roads are inaccessible for whatever reason, including fighting in the streets, demon hoards, craters, etc. Plus, it's taking advantage of, and making use of, all the available space, when said space is limited by the city's shield. (The Citadel he's from had similar circumstances: it was surrounded by very high stone walls, to keep out the other clans' vampires.)
And if he can get a bunch of apartment buildings, much like the Visitors' residential towers, added in further out toward the city's edges (if just in the residential districts, even) for uh... temporary housing while repairs are being done elsewhere? He'll totally try that. And see if he can get those left as inexpensive housing for those who either can't or don't want to stay in the Visitor towers, or just need somewhere else to move in. (I'm sure he's heard grumbling from the residents; it's past time to push ahead with trying to help more, in his mind.)
...because that's just how he works: he's spent the majority of his life doing stuff like this. Taking advantage of the humans' alarm to get stuff like this done is simply the best way he knows to do it swiftly... and with the government's resources, for preference, since they usually have the most money, and certainly are best suited to delegating/coordinating this sort of work. As far as he's concerned, this is what said resources are for... to help as many people as possible.
(And if they want to claim the budget isn't big enough for this stuff, he'll happily point out that they could always offer incentives for people to volunteer their time and labor, and even materials, in the form of letting them stay at the shelters/housing free for some period of time, providing free food while they work, etc etc. He'd do his best to work with the budget people on it; he's learned a fair bit about economics over the ages. His world might be medieval in a lot of ways, but money -- gold and silver and the like -- still had a place, what with it being largely a human society.)

She'll also be offering up free space in the Amagi Inn for people to take shelter in, and providing basic supplies like food, blankets, and the like for them to wait things out.

By the way, on the topic of hospital help... could Fattycakes count as pet therapy? :'D If not, he might try to help heal people with his Persona once things settle down and he's not terrified of going out in the streets.

And he'll be organizing a run for weapons later because if time/life permits, he might want to help the mayor too...

There were plans to have her on the team actually solving this whole thing/finding out where all these hostile demons are coming from but that may or may not have fallen out.

Anyway, she'll be petitioning the government to allow her to move into the abandoned Knight Academy and get it up and running as a general training facility for Visitors and natives alike.
