Player Plot Update!
Computers, servers, and the networks are acting funny! Just who is to blame?!
Demon computer viruses!
These monsters aren't manifesting in the physical world though! They are only in the circuits of electronics themselves. Robotic and cyborg characters, along with characters with virtual reality and programming experience can find a way to interact with them like in the real world though, and fight them with their Personas if they wish. They may even be able to figure out a way for their friends who aren't currently able to do so on their own to join in!
However, close to the end of the event (July 15th and 16th), the Government will provide an upgrade to your COMP to allow anyone to go fight them in a virtual space with their Persona and abilities. Mostly because by this time, the viruses are causing enough widespread trouble that the people of Hinoto-Ri will want any help they can get to take care of it.
Until then, only the various Virus Type C/♡/$ will be able to be found and fought. Unless someone is doing specific research or investigation of the origin of the viruses, the main causes (that is Creeper, Love Letter, and Stuxnet) won't be found until the 15th or 16th. They won't go down easy however, and unless someone can program a special anti-virus against them, killing them will only make a Virus Type become the new main virus.
Again, if no player is able to program an anti-virus by the 15th or 16th, checking with the Government can get you the programs you need to take care of these guys permanently. But maybe you can think of a better program to handle this, or someone who could make one that not only destroys the main virus, but kills all the Virus Types that spawned from it?
Also, as a reminder, just because these guys are in your electronics causing trouble, doesn't mean the monsters that show up in the city of Hinoto-Ri during the 13th Hour are on break. If you can't find a way to fight the viruses until the end, at least you can keep the city safe at night until then!

Who do we have who's good with computers, and do you guys want to have some sort of log shindig for this?

Fumi's going to be running herself pretty ragged during this event, and will probably need some help with what she's doing, even though she won't actually ask for it herself. She's got both the JP's servers and the Government's servers to keep safe due to her job as network admin, so she will be busy as heck trying to juggle both by herself. I think if someone else makes a post referencing the problem and/or asking for advice, she'll respond to it, and it'll be fairly obvious that she's going to run herself into the ground at that time. And then I'll just need some people who won't take no for an answer to suggest teaming up.
