Man I just have this bad feeling that as long as Dedede isn't openly hostile to him and kind of tolerates him he's just going to be attached forever, because it's Dedede and Dedede is his friend ;-;

It really depends on how they first meet. DeDeDe is pretty likely to want to attack him given the circumstances, but there's no way he isn't also terrified of him at the same time. He's seriously out of practice as far as fighting goes, and if he couldn't beat him alone last time, he's probably going to figure pretty quickly that he won't have much of a shot here either. At least not without help. So that might be what he tries first, but I'll definitely clear anything he says to slander Kirby with you ahead of time, since I realize that might screw up your fun too. But I think if we nurture this CR a bit and treat it with care as it develops, it has the potential to be pretty damn amazing.

Well, my heart would ache about a sad Kirby, but that doesn't mean I'd actively avoid it...

But Kirby won't attack unless provoked, and if he sees Dedede is defending himself rather than being the big fat meanie he usually is, he'll stop. Because that's not like Dedede!

Yeah, I don't think his suspicion would ever completely go away - the best he'd probably manage would be to assume that this Kirby is from before he went insane, and maybe just try to keep an eye on him and stop that from happening. Which could involve some grudging niceness on his part. But even that would probably take him months to be okay with.

It may also help if he finds out that people can come from different instances of the same world. In which case Dedede can totally groom Kirby to be a ruthless killing machine should the actual Kirby show up, because I don't have enough characters threatening to beat up other characters from There Will Be Brawl.

...okay, I only have Pit threatening to beat up Captain Falcon should Random app Pit from TWBB.

SPEAKING OF PIT, I am not that familiar with the canon so is there anything I should know about Dedede's relationship with Pit?

Yeah, that would be a big help for getting him past the initial horrible distrust and terror.

As far as DeDeDe's relationship with Pit in TWBB is concerned, the club that Falcon and Pit work at is in his territory in the ongoing underworld struggle between the mafia dons, making Pit at least nominally one of DeDeDe's employees. He's actually also seen later at DeDeDe's club being chewed out for not bringing in enough money, so the implication there is basically that he's whoring himself out at the gay clubs and paying it forward to the big boss. So when he meets Pit, he's probably pretty likely to ask him why he isn't out working the streets and where his cut of the profits are. I'm married to the Palutena player, so you can be damn sure she will show up in fairly short order after they meet to set his fat penguin ass straight.

He's actually only in the one episode of the show, so if you go to that video I linked in my original intro and watch it through, that's basically all there is to know about the guy. It stands on its own fairly well.

Oh yeah! One thing, re: the taken list: I think you should probably have Dedede listed as being from Kirby since the AU *is* There Will Be Brawl

Yeah, good point. I went in and changed it to have him listed from Super Smash Bros. Brawl as the series, since TWBB is really an AU of the combined universe presented in that game.
