King DeDeDe - There Will Be Brawl

Hello, everyone! This is Brantron, player of everyone's favorite moebot Nano Shinonome, bringing you all a decidedly less innocent character. This is King DeDeDe from There Will Be Brawl, a fan series based on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl franchise. It's set in a modern dystopian re-imagining of the Mushroom Kingdom. In this world, Kirby is a cannibalistic serial killer who singlehandedly destroyed Dream Land and Hyrule and was defeated by the Mario Brothers after ruining about half of the Mushroom Kingdom in his rampage. DeDeDe here survived the attacks and now makes his living as a mafia don in the slums, running a series of nightclubs, strip joints, and brothels as he fights to keep what little influence he has. He's actually only in a single episode of the web series, but he makes a pretty big impression in the few scenes he's in. Check out the second video in his profile to see what I mean. Anywho, he'll be coming in immediately following the end of episode 5.

Here are some facts about him pertaining more directly to the game:

Hello everyone! I'm Wilhelm and a brand new player here and I'm bringing you two new characters. The first one is Doctor Emmett Brown from the Back to the Future movies. Basically your traditional eccentric scientist who makes plenty of useless inventions and then someday he creates a time machine. He's imported from another game, Tower of Animus, so expect a lot of time paradox speeches and end of the universe dramatic scenario.

He stays in PISCES | 6-05 and his arcana is The Sun. His Persona is a Dog on a hoverboard wearing sunglasses (don't ask), he comes with his dog (Einstein) and the Delorean (even though time travel capabilities are currently disabled).

The second character I bring here is Gilgamesh (from_the_rift) from the Final Fantasy serie. He originated in FFV then went on to travel throughout the Final Fantasy worlds on a daily basis. When he is not being silly he collects swords and is quite the fighter. As Gilgamesh is approved but on hold due to a small revision about the type of his magics, I can't say where he is staying just yet, but his Arcana is The Chariot and his Persona is the Historical Gilgamesh.

Anyway, Tsukasa is Hermit arcana because MMO social link is best social link. He lives in Pisces 11-08, and his unlucky arcana are Devil, Judgement, Temperance, and Empress. The last two made me laugh really hard - the first because I read it as Temptress and the second because. Welp. ~Offline things~. His Persona is his Twilight Guardian.

Hi Destiny Strings, this is MaxSalsa, Salsa for short because there are too many capital letters and stuff. I'm new to DS, so bear with me for a bit. Aaaanyway! I bring you Rita Mordio from Tales of Vesperia. She's a mage with slight abandonment issues, more snark than your average JRPG antagonist, and a need to be right all the time. But ideally we can work past those and get to the reasonable girl inside, right?

Rita's Arcana is the Chariot, and her Persona is Hecate, Greek patron of magic and fire; you'll find her in Libra 8-02. Her unlucky Arcana are Devil, Hanged Man, Temperance, and Fool. Oh, and she's going to have no clue what's going on, especially since there's enough magic here that her artes work without aer (mostly because playing Rita without magic would be so hilariously nerfed it's not even funny anymore). Please excuse occasional barely-stopped bursts of Fire Ball, she's a little jumpy just now.

(Think of him as Kaworu Nagisa, but not really.) Except this is an AU version of him, complete with timeloops (Restorer route, anyone?) and memories of repeatedly dying at the hand of his bestest and probably only, oops friend. Ah...how despair-inducing! Upupupu...doesn't the mere thought set your heart aflutter?

He's a massive ball of issues, most of them stemming from the fact that his father figure made a clone of him that ended up stealing his family and his life from him.

That means I've brought Chie Satonaka along, a beefsteak-adoring, martial arts loving, future police cadet. She also has some experience using Personas. She's coming post true-ending, but before Arena since I haven't been able to finish THAT yet. Also, I figured she wouldn't have dated Yu just to make it easier on everyone (though I totally ship Chie/Yukiko whaaaaat).

Hello, ladies and gents and otherwise, it's Matchre chiming in for the first time in a while to introduce a character that's so obscure, this time, it's not from an established canon at all!

Little joke there. Anyway! This glass monstrosity here is Agni, an original character of mine from an utter mess of a book draft called The Lehr. tl;dr: glass demons made from people's stolen souls try to systematically collect more souls, hilarity ensues. So, Agni is basically a walking soul with the 'meta' part of metaphysical crossed out.

COOL WORDS IN BOLD:
Agni is of the Moon Arcana.
Its persona is a big ol' floating coin named King Olof.
Its unlucky arcana are Fool, Empress, Hierophant and Chariot.
It technically 'lives' in room 12-01 of Pisces, but being eight feet tall, packing a giant tail, and not needing lame stuff like "sleep" and "sustenance" translate into it never being there.

...And wow, it's going to be very surprised once it figures out it can actually communicate with the populace at large.

Well hi there Hinoto-Ri. My name is James, and you may very slightly remember me as having played a jerk off cult leader for a couple weeks. Well, life had quite a few things I needed to take care of at the time and Hikawa just wasn't a voice I could keep up with, but I'm back and ready for action now and I have a special treat for you all, here to fill your lives with love and joy. Especially you, SMT and Persona casts.

This great big sweetheart is Louisa Ferre, more often known as Louis Cypher, and known among the circles of Heaven, Hell, and demons as Lucifer, the Lord of Demons and de facto leader of the Chaos Faction in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Her/his hobbies include alcohol, being nosy, and deriding the forces of Law through rhetoric and violence and sometimes a combination of the two. But after fighting for so long even horrible death dealing overgods needs a vacation, which is why she's set her eye on coming to Hinoto-Ri.

Don't worry. She certainly won't get in your business too much.

Anyway, Lucifer will be taking his/her "Louisa Ferre"/female form for the most part as she'll be coming from after the (Neutral) ending of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. She'll be a pretty permanent fixture over at Nyx's Bar as well.

Lash is a 16 year old mad scientist who likes 1) blowing things up 2) really blowing things up 3)BOOM! YOU GONNA GO SPLAT! She has fabulous hair. Being raised for war for all of her life, she doesn't know that much outside of it, not to mention she used to basically fight for the bad guys (tm). She's also a Commanding Officer in the land of Wars World.

It doesn't help that even at her age, she is a mad genius who invented most of Black Hole's machines of war. When Sturm asked her to build something to protect the rocket base, she made a 600 something foot tall death ray.

Hi everyone! I'm Jen, and I'm a completely new player here. I'm bringing in one idol-in-training. This is Nagisa Motomiya (Western order) from AKB0048.

Nagisa hails from a world in which entertainment is partially banned, and fighting with microphones that turn into sabers and learning to pilot a mech (she did not bring a mech with her, though) is as just as much of a part of learning how to be a proper idol as learning to sing and dance. She's a little bit shy, but she warms up to people pretty quickly.

Oh, and that little glowing thing around her isn't her Persona. It's a little creature called a Kirara, which is born when an idol starts to shine. Nobody really gets what they do entirely, so the most it's going to do in Hinoto-Ri is make high-pitched squeaking noises and glow a little bit every now and then.

Nagisa's actual Persona is Euterpe, the Greek muse of music. Her Arcana is the Star, and her unlucky Arcana are Fortune, Chariot, Death, and the Empress. Eventually, she'll be bringing in a theatre from her adopted homeworld, because what's an idol without her performance space?

Or...well, I didn't hear that really, but anyways. This character is awesome and I'm so glad to throw him at Hinoto-Ri. In case you didn't know, the person playing this guy is Crystal, who also plays that abomination of a pathetic wimp, Sam Erstwhile.

So, who is Zacharie, anyways? Well, he comes from a very surreal indie game by the name of OFF (which is totally free to download and play DO IT DO IT DO IT), and he, in his own words, serves as "the traditional items merchant that every video game needs". He's nice and amiable towards anyone he meets, though mostly, he just wants you to buy all the awesome things he carries around with him (weapons, healing items, defensive equipment, and whatnot) because MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND, BABY. Also, he never appears in the same space twice, so expect him to show up when you least expect it.

Annnnd he also breaks the fourth wall like nothing else- but don't worry! He will only know that he's currently in a place where he's an NPC, and will often say things like "HELLO THERE PROTAGONISTS, NPC RPG MERCHANT ZACHARIE HERE." He also likes giving advice sometimes about what to do during a difficult situation while wearing a cat mask, and HE WILL LITERALLY GIVE THE MOST PATHETIC MEOWS I KID YOU NOT.

*Hyun-ae is a new addition to the NPC ranks, and she'll be coming soon to a network near you. In order to meet with the informational output of ever increasing amounts of Extraterrestrial Guests, she's been installed as an AI babysitter administrator. As a rule of thumb, *Hyun-ae will be looking through all conversations on the compnetwork, along with the public profile information. This means, if they're a regular user of the comp, she's probably formed an opinion on your character before they'll ever even speak to one another.

It also means now I have to read through the entire network of another game!

Also he's shit at technology. He comes from Taisho 20/the 30's okay. Rotary phones, streetcars, typewriters, bowler hats... the works. Though if you're a history buff (or just familiar with SMT) you'll notice that Taisho 20 is not a real year, so feel free to call him out on that if he mentions it.

All joking aside, hi, everyone! I'm Doji and I'll be bringing in Miyako Hotsuin, your local Yamato Hotsuin's identical twin sister. Wait, he have a twin, you ask?

Long story short, Miyako was originally drafted to be Yamato's twin and backup/replacement in case he die. Then she got written off from the storyboards. So she's here as an DeSu 2 canon OC from a world where she does exist, just don't mind all of her...issues regarding her role as Yamato's double. Y'know, where no one should know about her and everything she did will be credited to Yamato's name. nbd

Canon point-wise, she'll be taken directly after the Hotsuin twins' boss battle on AO's route, after a certain brother of hers did a stupid stunt. Because of that, Miyako will be...not very happy, to say at least. Especially to certain people.

She's of the Justice Arcana with her Persona being Chamunda. She'll be living in Pisces | 11-10 (oh hey same floor as Io) and her Unlucky Arcana are the Magician, Hierophant, Lovers & Tower.

I'm Snarky, and I'm already here playing Minato Arisato from Persona 3, but now I am adding +1 character to the mix in the form of Takashi Natsume, from the anime Natsume Yuujinchou / Natsume's Book of Friends. It's on crunchyroll, so you should totally go watch it some time. :P

Anyway, Natsume is a pretty quiet but well-meaning young man who is bad at interacting with people. He also has a big secret: he can see and interact with yokai/ayakashi/spirits/demons/gods/ghosts/whatever you want to call them, and they've caused him no end of trouble, though he's warmed up to them quite a bit over the past couple years. So if you happen to catch him acting a little strangely - like maybe he just saw something scary or perhaps he's running from one that wants to eat him - that'll be why.

As a note, the way it works in Hinoto-Ri is that most of the demons are visible to everyone, but there are a few here and there that are not - and those are the extra ones Natsume can see (though he'll probably be pretty shocked when he realizes most demons are visible to everyone here!).


Anyway, that's enough of my rambling. though you should still go watch the series, because it is cute and offers an interesting view of some of the random critters and things out of Japanese folklore; also it will give you feels

Takashi is of the Temperance arcana and will be living in Pisces 12-09. His unlucky arcana are Fool, Hanged Man, Emperor and Empress.
