This here is the coolest of all coolkids, the alpha male of the beta universe... Bro Strider! He's another one of those Homestuck weirdos, so I put up a permission post on his journal in case you want to opt out of courier text. His hobbies include puppets, muppets, ninja weapons, rapping, ventriloquism, swords, video games, puppet porn, beating the shit out of his little brother, anime... Have I mentioned puppets yet? Hahaha, I can't wait either! I used to play Bro in Vatheon with a pretty big Homestuck cast, so playing him with only one castmate is gonna be a whole new experience.

Here's to hoping we'll attract more castmates, though, because castmates are always good.

Yeah! I had some friends who were thinking about apping Jane, Jake, and Dave, but the Jake got super busy and Dave hadn't rped on Dreamwidth before and I think got sort of intimidated, lol. My Jane still might be coming along for the ride though, so I'd love to see her around!

I also have had some pretty fun MSPARP chats with Beta Bros and I really find the dynamic of kids and their AU-selves to be fascinating. :) So yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Awww, it's a shame they didn't app, but feel free to tell your Dave friend there's a Bro who would love to have his lil bro around. First-time Dreamwidth RPer or not. And if your Jake friend gets less busy, they can always still app!

And yeah, that dynamic is epic. It's especially interesting when they find points in which they're different, rather than points in which they're the same.

Haha yeah, I'm going to see if I can't convince my Dave to app-- it's fun because we cosplay Dirk and Dave together, and she's basically my Dave IRL too, so it'd be really fun to have her around. And ditto with my Jake! Homestucks representttt~

Yeah, it's such an experiment in nature vs. nurture-- they started from the same place, but the situations were so radically different it created two completely different people. I poked through your Bro headcanons on your blog and I really like your take on his backstory! It's such a questionmark in his character and I'm glad you filled in some blanks.

Aawww, thank you! Headcanon backstories for a series that's technically still running are always tricky, but I think it's probably safe to assume Hussie won't be revealing anything about the beta guardians anymore. ...Probably. Sob.

My favorite part of having both Bro and Dirk here is that Lil' Cal is listed in both of your in-game inventories. This was totally on purpose, because hilariously the canon itself supports the potential simultaneous existence of two Cals. So feel free to have fun with that. ;)
